Pope Francis’ theme for this year’s 51st annual World Communications Day is:

“Fear not, for I am with you:
communicating hope and trust in our time.”

The Vatican’s timely message asks us to take a serious look at the state of today’s media landscape. Constant images of war, violent crime, political conflict, and the growing negativity attached to social media paints a bleak picture for our future.

Pope Francis asks us, as Catholics, to focus on the positivity that still thrives in our world, and for the the church to use the new evangelization to spread good news.

DeSales Media Group is proud to present the Diocese of Brooklyn’s 26th Annual World Communications Day. This year’s event will be in the BRIC Arts Media House, a media space in Brooklyn dedicated to promoting diversity, a perfect fit for this forward-thinking celebration.

The event brings together Catholic film, television, print, and digital content creators, entertainers, newsmakers, educators, innovators, religious leaders, and media executives.

Strengthen your faith, elevate your work, and be a part of an unforgettable experience. Join us in Downtown Brooklyn on May 17, 2017.
